How's your Saturday? Today is a school replacement day for me, it sucks. It wasted my lovely Saturday. *sighs*
Anyway, today's topic is not about school heh. I just saw a video about Panasonic Lumix GF2. My beloved Hebe is the spokesperson of this product omgz! FYI, I always crave for a semi-pro or a DSLR camera. Not to say that my Canon Ixus sucks, but I just want to shoot more HIGH qualities photos! Well. Daddy bought me the Canon Ixus 100IS as my birthday present in 2009. As the technology is advancing & enhancing to a higher level, I desire to own a semi-pro or a DSLR. Digital camera is well, out-dated.
FYI, Panasonic Lumix's cameras are getting more and more positive reviews recently. This makes me wanna get one omgholycrapshit! See. I'm so avaricious, definitely not a good habit urgh.

Besides, I'm attracted by the Canon EOS DSLR series. I haven't decided which model should I choose but my friends told me that Canon EOS 550D is pretty awesome. Its superb imaging performance bewitches me. It's a 18megapixels camera which shoots high resolution images of superb quality. It also has the video-shooting feature, Full HD Video capture at 1920 x 1080 resolution with flexible frame rates. What I love about it is its quick response for stress-free shooting. Normal digital cameras take time to focus on the images but Canon EOS 550D enables you to shoot continuous photos in 3.7fps continuous shooting speed ! This DSLR camera costs approximately RM3k+ too.
After I did some comparisons between this two cameras, I think I would choose Canon EOS. But, I need some opinions from pro photographers like you! Anyone can provide me some valuable opinions? Appreciate much, xoxo.
LOVE LIFE.
It depends on you too, if you want something that is easier to bring along you should choose lumix :D 3 of my friends are using 550d too, very superb!
ReplyDeletei'll say..go for 550d
ReplyDeletebut actually i know nothing bout cam..so u shouldn't listen to me
juz listen to ur heart..^_^
haha yeah! Lumix is very light and small and easy to carry! But 550D is awesome with its feature aw!
ReplyDeleteif you have enough cash, just buy both! :)
ReplyDelete1 for those normal outings the Lumix
and another one 550d for really good shooting! :)
LOL!I am using canon s90!
ReplyDeleteThe camera is portable and its quality not bad!
CANON is LOVEEE haha
EOS 550D!!! coz i using that too xD
ReplyDeleteIf You like photography , take the 550D and kit lens to learn from.
ReplyDeletedepends on your budget too.
if you dont mid squeeze abit more budget try get the Canon 60D with 18-135mm Kit Lens ~ is About RM 4K.
a more advancing body for future proof.
and study with a kit lens of 18-135mm.
Plankton: haha, I'm thinking of 550D too! Thanks for your opinion!
ReplyDeleteBaboon: LOL! NO! I don't have that number of money. ):
Adrian: haha, so I should choose Canon yeah?
get both! hehe. One for serious photography sessions, and one (the semipro) for travelling and short everyday snapshots
ReplyDeletegf2 is better. are you planning to buy it?
ReplyDeleteNO need DSLT la... those are only for pros
ReplyDeleteif you dont mind carry big bag, DSLR 550D is a way to go, I'm using 550D for 6 month dy, no regret, and still learning. Now funding for better lens :D
ReplyDeleteim aiming to get an EOS 550D too :)
ReplyDeleteAgree with Hilda ! ;)
ReplyDeleteLumix is more portable.. you can take it everywhere you want!
I'm dying to get a portable one instead of my DSLR! Its so troublesome to take along a DSLR when you go outing with friends!
But is also depends on you ! Cheers! :)
I'd go for EOS...
ReplyDeleteIt gives you simply the best quality.
YES, its bulky & heavy, But you wont regret the End-Result.
I'd go for semi-pro.
ReplyDeleteWhy? Small and light enough to keep inside a handbag without compromising the picture quality. Believe me, you don't wanna lug heavy & bulky camera if you wanna go let say... walking around penang, food hunting. I have a Panasonic LX3 and I love it!
whao, you recieve many great comments! :)
ReplyDeletemy idea agree with Hilda too. :)
but the decision still on yr hands. dont feel regret after you get it! think twice girl. both also useful and have their own functions.
Nikon D7000 wins both of these cameras!
ReplyDeleteas both of the cameras are almost in the same price, I think you should choose DSLR.
ReplyDeleteif you are used to it, get a DSLR..if you're not a real DSLR savvy, get the semi pro and learn its function first..that's what I did last time :D
ReplyDeletenice blog (: erm, im a photographer. And I use a DSLR. All I can say is, if you're really into photography, get a DSLR. If you're more into point and shoot, then get the semi DSLR(its called micro four thirds btw)I own a Nikon DSLR and its just amazing. Don't let people confuse you by saying this is better or the other. YOU have to go to a shop and see what suits you the most.
ReplyDeleteif you have anything to ask me, you can email me at jc040696@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteu'll disappointed wif G2 performances in high ISO. if u dun mind bulky, go wif 550D :)
ReplyDeletedslr is you're going to use it in mostly manual mode, not a poser that hang it around his/her neck and use auto-mode.
ReplyDeleteRead all the comments, I really appreciate you guys oh! What I care about is the outcome of the camera. So I will think properly for sure before I buy either one of them hah! LOVES. ♥
ReplyDeletehmm, dslr is better i think =) pics are nicer =P
ReplyDeleteHey! I just would like to give an enormous thumbs up for the great info you may have right here on this post.
