Have you ever heard of the HPV Vaccination?

Well, HPV is actually a threat posed to all girls in this world. In full, HPV = Human papillomavirus. What's this?

It's actually a virus capable of bringing you girls your worst nightmare ever, Cervical Cancer! Are you actually aware that about 99.7% of cervical cancer cases are due to this naughty HPV virus? And, do you actually know that cervical cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in Malaysians?

I don't mean to scare you, but it would be a disservice if we don't help spread this awareness to all the girls we care about, regardless whether or not they are strangers to us.

Introduction to LPPKN – Program Vaksinasi HPV 2013 (HPV Vaccination Program 2013)
The HPV Vaccination Program (PVHPV) is a vaccination program initiated by Population and Family Development Board Malaysia (LPPKN) under the prevision of Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM). The main objective for this vaccination program is to reduce the cases of acquired Cervical Cancer for the next 20 years to come.

The goal for this vaccination drive is summarized into three simple lines:

• To administer HPV vaccination to all girls who were born in the year 1993 and 1994 that belongs to the "catch up group"
• To protect Malaysian women from the risk of HPV infection
• To lessen the risk of cervical cancer among women in Malaysia. 

When will this HPV vaccination program be held?
It's on the 2nd October 2013, from 9am to 4pm!

I'm interested to go for the vaccination! But...will it cost me a lot?
No worries, it is com-plete-ly FREE of charge! Vaccination is open to anybody (yes, even your friends from other colleges/universities) from the age of 18 and above! (non-pregnant ladies only)

Is there anything else important I need to know about this event?

What if I'm not a student from Taylors'?
Don't worry, the event will be held in 4 universities in Klang Valley, and only the grand launching will be happening in Taylors' Lakeside Campus!!!
