The Forlorn Mansion

I'm FINALLY here to update my blog about my previous photoshoot with Joanne and Nicole (our awesome photographer)!!!!

The shoot took place last December in a forlorn and destructed mansion situated in the Bangsar district. Nicole suggested this place because she has done a lot of shoots there, and she personally find the place enigmatically attractive. I invited Joanne to join me for the shoot, so that we can together brainstorm for ideas on how to pose, etc.

The mansion is really huge. I'm not sure why it's been abandoned for so long but I think it must have looked really majestic a very long time ago.

Anyway, this was my first time meeting Nicole! We knew each other from Instagram - when she left a comment on my picture, asking me whether I'm interested for a photoshoot. Excited, I hopped over to her profile and browsed her portfolio, and I was like omg the photos are amazing! So, I gave her my number and we planned for our shoot in Whatsapp.

Nicole is sweet, outgoing, passionate and easy to get along with, so our shoot has been nothing but fascinating and fun. She really does have great talent in photography, and by far she's the photographer I enjoy working with the most. Not forgetting to mention, she knows our angles the best, so it really became a challenge to feel any disappointment with the outcome! Before the photoshoot, I was feeling pretty nervous and insecure, worried that I would look chubby in photos because I'm certainly not a person with perfect facial features. BUT I'm so glad that Nicole quickly mastered a perfect "angle" for me hahaha!

We really sacrificed a lot for this shoot. Even blood sacrifices.
Okay lah it was because we were heavily attacked by mosquitoes, and we also had to bear with the heat because the atmosphere around the mansion was stale - there was barely ventilation at all, and there isn't electricity. Even the washroom was destructed, so I can't pee omg! Can you imagine me shooting all the way with a bladder full of urine lolol!!!

But well, it was all worth it. Looking at the outcome of the photos makes me feel really happy and the most satisfied. Totally worth my blood and sweat haha!

P.S. How would you name my hairstyle by the way? Some call it Alien buns while some call it Chun-Li inspired buns hahaha!
