We managed to visit quite a few places on the 4th day of our Seoul trip, thanks to Joanne who did all the research and planning before our trip wooohooo! So today I'll be blogging about N Seoul Tower, Dongdaemun and Hongdae!
N SEOUL TOWER
N Seoul Tower is the symbol of Seoul. Its observation deck offers you a beautiful view of the city and it's also where the popular "locks of love" is located!!
How to go? By bus or by subway?
We took the
Namsan Sunhwan Shuttle Bus NO. 05 from
Myeongdong bus station. Alternatively, you can also reach there by the cable car (more information ->
HERE).
It's a must to take note of the bus number (No.05) if you are taking the bus from MYEONGDONG bus station!!
The bus fare is 1,200 won in cash / 1,100 won with your transportation card! |
Arrived!! |
Yes, it requires a bit of walking up the slope to actually reach the tower area, but the view is definitely worth the walk!! |
Beautiful rows of maple trees. |
N SEOUL TOWER
You need to pay for the admission ticket if you want to go up to the observation deck. |
You can buy the padlocks with your loved ones and lock them on the fence. |
Lunch at a Korean restaurant in N Seoul Tower. |

HAHAHA CANDID SHOT OF JOANNE BUT I THINK SHE LOOKS COOL

DONGDAEMUN DESIGN PLAZA (DDP)
If you haven't already known, DDP was one of the filming locations for the drama "You who came from the stars"!
Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) is the newest and most iconic landmark of the Korean design industry. Located at the center of the Dongdaemun area, the DDP will serve as a key venue for design-related shows and conferences, exhibitions, and other events and gatherings.
More information about DDP -> HERE
HOW TO GO? Get off at Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station (Seoul Subway Line 2, 4 ,5) and Exit 1. From Incheon International Airport, take AREX (Airport Railroad): Go to Gimpo International Airport Station → Transfer to Gongdeok Station (Seoul Subway Line 5) → Get off at Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station, Exit 1.

Why so serious? |

The fortress of art and architecture. |

If you are a fan of art and designs, you will enjoy this place! |

HONGDAE (HONGIK UNIVERSITY STREET)
HongDae is one of my favourite places in Seoul!! The shopping street has got a lot to offer no matter you want to shop or eat! Since this area is near the university, clothes are pretty affordable here - prices usually start from 10,000 won! There are also a lot cafes, BBQ restaurants and even clubs here!
HOW TO GO? Get off at Hongik University Station (Subway Line 2), Exit 9.

Clothes for puppies!! |

Here comes the massive shopping street, overloaded with an abundance of fashion garments and accessories! |
I love Korean fashion! |

Stopped by Cafe Ann House for some refreshing desserts!! |

More shopping? |

MUST-VISIT IN HONGDAE: STYLENANDA!! |
I felt so surreal when I was there because it's one of my wishes to visit the Stylenanda shop in Korea and there, I made it. It was still unbelievable. |
Stylenanda Photobooth and it's free yo! |
Opposite Stylenanda sits Chuu Korea! |
KOREAN BBQ AT HONGDAE! We actually randomly walked into this BBQ restaurant because it was crowded lolol, so we assumed that it's nice lah! The food really did exceed our expectation!!! Tip of the day: Follow the crowd and the locals, they know where to eat the best. ;) |
Samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) ♥♥♥ |
Randomly saw this store selling vintage, souvenir jackets that got me crazy!!!!!! But too bad, all the sizes were too big for me!! :( |
Hongdae is extremely lively at night, with people walking around and performers dancing along the street as if it's an open stage. Totally love the vibe of Hongdae! |
Ending this post with a picture of me and Brown's girlfriend? HAHA
In summary, N SEOUL TOWER → a tourist spot for photo-taking DONGDAEMUN DESIGN PLAZA → a symbolic landmark of the Korean design industry HONGDAE → a shopping district with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops
NOW, WHERE TO GO? YOU DECIDE. ;) |
